50 Jobs in 50 States
Daniel Seddiqui faced the harsh reality that many new graduates face today; landing that job you studied for. The economy has contributed in making it more difficult to have a steady corporate job that our parents have been used to. Seddiqui did not let his external environment control his destiny; he took on the challenge and paved his own path, which happened to go through all 50 states with his project called Living the Map.
Seddiqui’s goal was to complete one typical job for each state for one week at a time to showcase the different opportunities our great nation has to offer. He says to accomplish such a feat you have to be persistent, network, take risks, adapt and have endurance. Daniel’s patriotic adventure had him live with different families, learn new jobs and experience ways of life throughout our country.
Seddiqui’s project was featured in many media channels including World News Tonight, CNN, NPR, BBC, Sky News, The Today Show, and The LA Times and in many international media outlets. He recently published a book, Fifty Jobs in Fifty States, and he is organizing a charity to give underprivileged children the opportunity to travel and to expand their minds and experiences.
